How much exclusivity do you want to give? If you agree that your agent, distributor or reseller) will have exclusivity in selling your products or services, limit it by territory or market to avoid over-restricting yourself.  Consider using sales targets in the contract so that if they prove not to be as good as they say, and fail to meet the targets, make sure you have the right to remove their exclusivity status as a result.
